Given his eventful life both on the screen and off, it's no surprise that Errol Flynn has already been portrayed by the likes of Jude Law ("The Aviator") and Guy Pearce ("Flynn"). But it looks like the screen legend is getting another go 'round on the big screen, and an equally capable actor is taking him on.
Kevin Kline is set to play Flynn in "The Last Of Robin Hood." "Quinceanera" filmmakers Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland wrote the screenplay and will direct the story set in the last years of the actor's life, and his relationship with the very, very young 17 year-old Beverly Aadland whom he was rumored to have seduced at the age of 15. Both would feature in his last film "Cuban Rebel Girls." Why didn't anyone put a stop to this? Well, the girl's mother was a failed actress herself, living through her daughter, and even writing a book about the relationship with Flynn. She'll be played by Susan Sarandon.
We're always up for a good movie about the movies and this one promises to be something a little bit more sizzling than most. Needless to say, a young actress has a potentially great part here but no word yet on who will hang off Kline's arm. But we'll likely know soon as production will start in January. [Variety]
