Kid From 'The Kings Of Summer' Crowned With Role In 'Jurassic World'

The Kings Of Summer Nick Robinson

Jurassic World” continues to cast up, and right now the focus seems to be grabbing rising young talent for the lead roles. Just yesterday, the production nabbed “Insidious” and “Iron Man 3” kid Ty Simpkins, and now another youthful actor with proven chops will get to run from dinosaurs too.

Nick Robinson, seen a few months back in the charming “The Kings of Summer,” has boarded the fossil sequel/reboot thing. Outside of ‘Kings,’ Robinson is mostly known for his day job on the ABC Family series “Melissa And George,” so this will certainly be a nice boost for him. And it’s nice to see his work in Jordan Vogt-Roberts‘ film getting attention in some key places. He’ll be joining the aforementioned Simpkins (playing his older brother) along with Bryce Dallas Howard in the movie, with firm story details yet to be excavated.

The Colin Trevorrow-directed film will come to life on June 12, 2015. [THR]
