Moms deserve a bit better than this spring’s trainwreck “Mother’s Day,” and they’re gonna get something that hopefully honors them a bit more with the upcoming raunchy comedy “Bad Moms.” Because title aside, the comedy starring Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, Christina Applegate and Kathryn Hahn has a message to share — that no matter what shape motherhood takes, there are no bad choices when trying to do the best for your child.

“…this movie blankets the whole topic of motherhood in a way that the message is: There are endless ways to do it. And however your gut is telling you to do it, that’s what’s right,” Bell told PopSugar. “It’s a unifying message that we all feel less than; we all feel frazzled; we all feel overworked and terrified we’re messing up our humans. But that’s the beauty of this entire movie is it’s unifying. It’s like moms in solidarity.”
Directed by “The Hangover” writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the movie follows a trio of overworked Moms who break free from their responsibilities and let loose. Here’s the official synopsis:
In this new comedy from the writers of The Hangover, Amy has a seemingly perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.
“Bad Moms” gets rowdy on July 29th.
