We're not going to mention the B-word at this point — you've heard enough already — but needless to say, the recent reports that Kristen Wiig's next project thus far was only going to be the "The Comedian" directed by Sean Penn and co-starring Robert De Niro have changed pretty fast.
THR reveals that Wiig is set to join Ben Stiller in his remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Wiig will star alongside the recently cast Shirley MacLaine in the film about a mild-mannered man, a photo manager at a magazine, who is walked over by nearly everyone in his life, but finds his escape through his daydreams where he can, through imagination, live any kind of life he chooses — unfortunately, those idle thoughts seem to cause him even more strife than when he's back in reality. Things take a twist in the hunt for a missing negative and thrust him into a very real adventure. Wiig will play a co-worker who turns up as the girl of his fantasies.
While earlier reports suggested that Wiig wasn't going to break from 'SNL' until the season is over, 'Walter Mitty' is gearing up to shoot in April. So don't expect to see the Target lady that month.
