Maria Bamford’s ‘Lady Dynamite’ Returns In New Season 2 Trailer

Who knew bipolar disorder could be so funny? Netflix, apparently: today the streaming media provider announced the November 10 premiere date for Season Two of Maria Bamford’s “Lady Dynamite.”

Based loosely on her life, “Dynamite” stars Bamford as herself, a stand-up comedian who moves back to Los Angeles after recovering from bipolar disorder and attempts to rebuild her life and career. According to Netflix’s announcement, “This season finds our precious Maria embarking on her greatest adventure ever — love. Maria will use all the wrong lessons learned in childhood as she navigates her new relationship status with family, friends and pugs. She also lands a new gig at a streaming network that may or may not be owned by Elon Musk.”

According to the announcement, Ana Gasteyer is back as Bamford’s flamboyant agent Karen Grisham, along with Fred Melamed, Mary Kay Place, Ed Begley, Jr., Mo Collins and Olafur Darri Olafsson. In the absence of “Arrested Development” Season Five (which is currently shooting), rely on this to get your fill of Mitchell Hurwitz‘s madcap comedy style.
