When will the US government really fight back against the threat of terrorism and crime? Sure, police and law enforcement officials do their best, but in the new film “The Last Days of American Crime,” the government has figured out a way to stop all crime and it leads to some pretty insane results.
As seen in the trailer for “The Last Days of American Crime,” the film follows the story of an alternate future where the government sends out a massive signal that makes it impossible for any citizen to knowingly commit a crime. And after the signal kills a bank robber’s brother, he teams with some unsavory folks to help pull off one last heist that could set them up for life. But as you probably can guess, things don’t go necessarily to plan.

The film stars Edgar Ramírez, Michael C. Pitt, Anna Brewster, Patrick Bergin, and Sharlto Copley. ‘American Crime’ is directed by Olivier Megaton. The filmmaker is probably best known as the helmer of action films such as “Transporter 3,” “Taken 2,” “Taken 3,” and “Columbiana.”
“The Last Days of American Crime” arrives on Netflix on June 5.
Here’s the synopsis:
As a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Pitt), and black market hacker Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster), to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off.
