Well, congratulations to Seth Rogen and co. for keeping this one under wraps. I don’t think anybody knew that Lena Dunham had filmed a cameo for the upcoming "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising," but the actress has revealed that tidbit, albeit with a sad twist.
Dunham posted a picture of her scene from the movie on Instagram, where she would’ve played Joan Of Arc, had the moment not been snipped. "Throwback to when I played the role of Joan of Arc in ‘Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.’ I ended up on the cutting room floor so you won’t see my scene in the film, but it was all worth it for these blade hands and the chance to rewrite history as a Joan who jumps off the flaming pyre and guts a lot of men. I CANNOT WAIT for this rad movie," she wrote.
I can only imagine Dunham’s scene was part of some kind of fantasy/dream sequence, and let’s hope it gets restored for the eventual home video release. Dunham eviscerating dudes as Joan Of Arc? I’m game.
"Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" opens on May 20th.
