Okay, let the jokes begin now. Is it about an album no one wants? And the ragtag Irish misfits that sweated blood and tears to make it? Either way, Liam Neeson and U2 frontman Bono are writing a movie script that will bring their unique talents together into a unified vision.
"[Bono and I] chat, or with him a lot of the time I just listen. He’s a wonderful man,” Neeson told The Independent. “He’s got an idea for a script which we’ve been working on for the past six years.” And what’s it about? Actually, it sounds pretty interesting, with the movie set in the world of ’70s Irish showbands. They were basically big bands that could play a variety of genres, and toured the country covering pop songs. So yes, maybe there is a a "rag tag Irish misfits" element to this after all.
No word yet on if/when this movie might see the light of day, but you can rest assured Bono will probably team with whatever hot tech company he’s into next to download it straight to your phone/watch/brain. [via Vanity Fair]
