It says something about the current political climate that the events of Watergate, which led to the impeachment of President Richard Nixon, still remain timely and relevant. And it’s probably safe to say that likely won’t change in the months ahead, which will make the arrival of “The Silent Man” all the more resonant.

Written and directed by Peter Landesman (“Concussion,” “Parkland“), and co-starring Diane Lane, Marton Csokas, Josh Lucas, Tony Goldwyn, Michael C. Hall, Tom Sizemore, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ike Barinholtz, Bruce Greenwood, Brian d’Arcy James, Kate Walsh, Noah Wyle, and Maika Monroe, “The Silent Man” will be released by Sony Pictures Classics in September, and I’d say it’s a safe guess it’ll be preceded by a fall festival premiere.
