You don’t let a cash cow stop producing milk, er, money, and Lionsgate knows this well. Even though the "Twilight" series is "finished" on the big screen (for now), they’re keeping the brand going via a series of short films (you can check out the recently released synopses for those right here). And studio CEO Jon Feltheimer assured analysts this morning that "The Hunger Games" won’t be done after "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2" arrives this fall.
Firstly, the sequel will get the added splash of opening on IMAX screens. There is also going to be a new traveling exhibition based on the franchise, which launches on July 1st at Discovery Times Square in New York City, featuring hundreds of authentic costumes and props, high-tech and hands-on interactives, and detailed set recreations that reveal the amazing artistry and technology that brought these incredible books to life. You’ll see the Girl on Fire dress, the Mockingjay dress, and the Mockingjay armor; the Mockingjay pin, Cinna’s sketchbook, and Katniss’ bow; and much more. Huzzah! And oh yeah, the movies…
