"Star Wars" fans fall into three camps: those who were old enough to see the original trilogy in theaters, those who grew up with the original trilogy on home video, and then audiences who didn’t discover the franchise until the prequels arrived. For the folks that did first experience the "Star Wars" mania of the late ’70s and early ’80s, it can be hard to describe, but this little video on YouTube should help.

Doing the rounds now, it was actually a couple of years ago that William Forsche uploaded an audio recording he made of going to see "Star Wars" with his Mom. Yes, this is super dorky, but it is an interesting glimpse into how crowds were absorbed by George Lucas‘ sci-fi blockbuster.
