Listen: Beck's 'Ramona'; Plus All The 35 Songs Featured In 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World'; Stream Both Albums

Alright, you’ve already seen the 38-cue tracklisting for the score to Edgar Wright’s “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” and the 23-song tracklist for the soundtrack, and now we’ve got just a little bit more (though there is plenty of overlap). All the 35 “songs” played within the film (though this doesn’t include the score by Nigel Godrich and members of Broken Social Scene, Dan “The Automator” and more).

Songs featured in the film, but not on the soundtrack — some of which we mentioned a few weeks ago when we did a track-by-track review of the soundtrack — include cuts by The Flying Burrito Brothers, BSS member Brendan Canning, Holy Fuck, Death From Above 1979, Queen, Eddie Cochran and more (some awesome video game references too).

While the soundtrack features five tracks by Beck (who wrote all the songs for Michael Cera’s Sex Bob-Omb band) and the Deluxe version of the soundtrack features three songs sung by Beck (on the regular soundtrack the Sex Bob-Omb songs are sung and performed by the actors), in the movie there are two cuts not listed on either, including the songs “Indefatigable” and “No Fun.” Makes sense, Beck wrote 21 songs for his Sex Bob-Omb soundtrack assignment, but who knows if they’ll ever come out and or if Beck will recycle them elsewhere. The singer/songwriter has a wealth of material at his disposal at all times and apparently writes songs like its simply breathing each and every day. Plumtree also have an additional track in the film beyond their titular song, called “Go.”

Beck’s orchestral version of “Ramona” has already “leaked” and is attached after the jump. We say leaked in quotes because you can listen to a stream of the entire soundtrack album here and the entire score here. You may not want to listen to the whole thing as there might be some spoilers in there (like the Universal theme at the beginning which is hilarious and amazing).

We caught the picture last night and were largely blown away by how big-hearted and bittersweet the film was, while remaining funny and containing fantastic, next-level-shit fight sequences; there’s a great balance of tone throughout. And note all the score pieces that Broken Social Scene had a hand in, like the track “Hillcrest Park,” — man, they will just wrap you in a blanket of warm sonic amazingness. “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” hits theaters this weekend, August 13. The soundtrack and score both come out today, August 10.

You can listen to “Ramona” and “Summertime” and find a listing of all the songs after the jump.
