'Lizzie' Trailer: Chloe Sevigny And Kristen Stewart Star In This Reimagining Of The Lizzie Borden Story

In 2015, filmmaker Craig William Macneil burst onto the scene with his film “The Boy,” which premiered at SXSW. However, since then, we haven’t heard much from the director, other than some TV directing on the horror anthology series “Channel Zero” and the upcoming “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” This fall, Macneil finally makes his return to feature films with the thriller “Lizzie.”

As you might surmise from the title, Macneil’s latest film is a reimagining of the Lizzie Borden tale. And as seen in the first trailer for the film, the director has created a film filled with tension, suspense, and star power, with actresses Chloe Sevigny and Kristen Stewart leading the way. The film follows a young woman named Lizzie, who is being questioned by police about the death of her father. The film jumps back and forth in time, revealing what exactly led up to the fateful, bloody event and how two young women’s connection led to everything.
