‘Losing Alice’ Trailer: Ayelet Zurer Makes A Faustian Deal In Apple TV+ Limited Series

It’s about abandoning the drudgery of one’s existence and wanting more. It’s about living it up today and turning a blind eye to tomorrow. But it’s a consuming pursuit of self-indulgence and often leads to professional and personal ruin. So, is it really worth it? The story of “Faust” has existed for hundreds of years, but its relevance reverberates throughout all walks of life to this day. Like the need to stay on top, for example. “Losing Alice” is an upcoming series that focuses on one woman taking measures to ensure just that in the entertainment world.

Creator, writer, and director Sigal Alvin constantly flashes back and forward to reflect the inner turmoil gripping the protagonist in the project. Alvin herself is an established name in Israeli TV. She also wrote and directed 2018’s “That’s Harassment,” a collection of short films depicting actual instances of sexual harassment and starring the likes of Emmy Rossum, David Schwimmer, and Cynthia Nixon.

The series’ titular character is portrayed by Ayelet Zurer (“Munich” & “Man of Steel”) and playing her temptress Sophie is Lihi Kornowski (“Sublet”). Additional cast members include Gal Toren, Yossi Marshek, Shai Avivi, and Chelli Goldenberg.
