Now that this year’s big winners have been announced via the Oscars, let’s take a look at the year’s big losers. The Razzie Awards were handed out over the weekend, and the film that took home the most was actually mistaken as “Slumdog Millionaire” by James Franco during the Oscars themselves. That’s right, Mike Myers’ uber-terrible “The Love Guru” lead the pack winning 3 golden raspberries, which according to wikipedia, retail at around $4.89 a piece. Other big winners/losers included Paris Hilton, who pulled a Kate Winslet and won both the Actress and Sup. Actress awards, and Uwe Boll, who earned the career achievement award. Although, shouldn’t it be “under”achievement?

We have to admit we actually tried to watch “Disaster Movie” (which lead the nominations with 6, yet didn’t win 1) after it fell immediately to the #1 spot of imdb’s worst movies, based on curiosity alone. Needless to say, we didn’t even make it through it, but are now left wondering, how can any movie be worse?? Anyone who’s seen the “Love Guru” care to comment? [ed. yeah, I sat through it for our Worst of 2008 piece, it was an abortion worthy of this turd prize].
