Lukas Haas Joins Catherine Hardwicke's 'Red Riding Hood' Starring Amanda Seyfried

Lukas Haas (perhaps still best remembered as the young Amish child in “Witness”) who has a small role in Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” — he’s boyhood friends with Leo DiCaprio, so we’ve always wondered if he championed him for the part — has joined the cast of Catherine Hardwicke’s supernatural thriller, “Red Riding Hood.”

Another solid reason for this guess? DiCaprio’s Appian Way shingle is producing.

The film stars the already-cast Amanda Seyfried as the lead, plus Shiloh Fernandez, Julie Christie, Gary Oldman and Max Irons (Jeremy Irons’ son). David Leslie Johnson (“Orphan” and one of the writers hired to write “Clash of the Titans 2”) penned the screenplay which takes the Brothers Grimm-like tale and sets it in a medieval village haunted by a werewolf.
