Watch: Mark Ruffalo Spoiled The 'Avengers: Infinity War' Ending Last Year

Spoilers, spoilers, spoilers for “Avengers: Infinity War, obviously.

Everyone on the planet’s now seen “Avengers: Infinity War,” right? Good. The world is obviously mourning the shocking end of ‘Infinity War’ even though we basically know 90% of those deaths aren’t real and everyone’s coming back (“Avengers: Do-Over” hits May 2019). Dealing with their grief, fans are making some pretty hilarious memes about the end of the film, but we’ve already hit peak meme and the “Frasier” one (below), is still the best.

But did you know that cat was out of the bag last year? In an interview with Don Cheadle and Mark Ruffalo from Good Morning America’s D23 Expo 2017 that’s recently surfaced, Ruffalo goofed and basically spoiled the entire ending. “Wait until you see this next one… Everybody dies,” Ruffalo exclaims. “Well, half.”

And that’s basically what happens. Watch Don Cheadle’s WTF reaction, it’s priceless and he seems pretty pissed too. “Am I in trouble?” Ruffalo asks nervously? And Cheadle says, “A little!” then recommending he move on rather than draw more attention to his goof. It’s kind of amazing that no one made a bigger deal of this and or that the actors didn’t go back to Kevin Feige or Marvel and fess up. One could totally see a scenario where the studio would go to GMA and ask them to cut that clip, then again, it’s drawing attention to it, so perhaps they all just hoped no one would notice and they were right (this is the Lucasfilm model too; never respond to any rumors even if they’re correct and just hope the fog of speculation will keep everything muddled).

Meanwhile, poor Tom Holland is messing up too, but in real time and inadvertently hurt the experience for some fans. First off, there’s this fun clip making the rounds which compiles all the time Benedict Cumberbatch had to stop Holland, who genuinely seems to almost goof up a few times, from spoiling parts of the movie,

But recently, at an “Avengers: Infinity War” public screening, Holland did spoil the movie, coming out before the movie started and yelling to the audience “I’m alive!” That might be a little bit vague to perhaps broader audiences, but fans in the know must have been pretty annoyed. “Avengers Infinity War” spoilers are a minefield and I don’t envy anyone who hasn’t seen the film yet trying to navigate the Internet and social media. Good luck out there! Here’s the clips below, plus a few fun memes.
