Greeted with critical acclaim and love from audiences, Aziz Ansari‘s Netflix series "Master Of None" was a big hit. However, while many expected the streaming service to quickly announce a new season last fall, that didn’t quite happen. In fact, things went a bit quiet around the show, but there’s some good news.

Ansari announced on Twitter today that "Master Of None" season 2 will arrive in 2017. Those are the only details at the moment. Given how involved he is in the writing of the show, in addition to starring, I’d wager the length of time is needed just to get all the creative pieces in place. And that’s fine by me. "Master Of None" turned out to be one of the most refreshing shows of last year. Much ink has been spilled about its diverse casting, and tackling of topics you won’t usually find in your rom-com sitcom (which is a pretty reductive description). But none of it would’ve worked if it wasn’t plain funny to start with, and not only was "Master Of None" frequently hilarious, it earned its emotional stripes as well. If you haven’t watched it yet, now’s the time.
Meanwhile over at HBO, they dropped the first teaser for "Silicon Valley" season 3, which debuts on April 24th. The nerdy crew are all back, and the big plot motivator this season is finding out how Richard (Thomas Middleditch), gets back into the company he’s lost total control of. Watch below.
