Michael Cera Says 'Arrested Development' Film Idea Is "More Hypothetical Than People Think"

Oof, Michael Cera is not going to be winning any fans today. Seemingly trying to toy with “Arrested Development” fans, the actor addressed the film, of which he’s been called the “holdout” or the one preventing it from moving forward.

But Cera says, not so fast. He hasn’t even received a script and therefore the film project is “more hypothetical than people think,” he said in an interview with MTV.

“I would possibly play the part, I possibly might put the script in my shredder. I may buy a shredder,” Cera said, sounding a bit annoyed by the constant ‘Arrested Development’ question.

But he’s playing with people. A little bit more seriously he says, “No, I’d be interested to see what the story is.”

Kid is pragmatic people. He’d probably do it, but maybe unlike the rest of the cast, he wants to actually read the script before he signs on. Can you blame him? You can see the full video clip at MTV to see the tone, but we think we’ve captured it well.
