For the low, low price of $60 million Sony Pictures and Sony Music have finally acquired the rights to release “This Is It,” a live performance Michael Jackson film to be culled from the footage of his 2009 world tour rehearsals. Kenny Ortega (“High School Musical”) choreographed the show and will direct the film. You can see what might have been on October 30. [Variety]
