Milk It: 'Avatar' Returns In Theaters With 8 New Minutes of Footage

Apparently 20th Century Fox and James Cameron are not satisfied with their $2.7 billion dollar all-time-record worldwide haul with “Avatar” and want to keep inundating audiences with furry blue space rangers and authentic 3D.

The film is being re-released on August 27th for some reason. The reason is apparently that eight minutes of footage justifies a re-release.

There apparently seems to be no reason other than that for the release (and the obvious attempts at milking every little dollar they can out of those extra expensive 3D and IMAX tickets).

Maybe we’ll finally get that Na’vi sex scene? Whatever, unless they’re screening this one, there’s no way we’re paying to see this. International re-release date info is here. Hope those eight minutes are gonna be worth it. [Avatar]
