'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' International Trailer Somehow Makes Us Even More Excited For The Film

We’re less than two months away from the theatrical release of “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” and Paramount has just released yet another great trailer for the film. Paramount’s marketing for ‘Fallout’ has been exciting, to say the least; from the intense musicality of the first trailer to the multiple insights and featurettes on Tom Cruise’s stunt work, it’s hard to believe anticipation for the hardy franchise’s sixth installment had room to grow. As it turns out, the international trailer proves otherwise.

With just enough to tide fans over until late next month, the newest trailer capitalizes on what we’ve come to expect from the ‘Mission’ franchise: Tom Cruise tomfoolery. Opening with a refreshingly comical scene between Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and Simon Pegg’s Benji Dunn, the trailer wastes no time shedding some light on the status of their friendship. We also get another look at Sean Harris’ Solomon Lane, as his dreadful monologue haunts the trailer: “There cannot be peace without first a great suffering.”

From writer/director Christopher McQuarrie – who seems to work exclusively with Cruise (‘Rogue Nation,’ “Jack Reacher,” “Edge of Tomorrow,” and others) – “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” also stars Henry Cavill (playing Hunt’s adversary CIA agent August Walker, mustache and all), Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Angela Bassett, and Alec Baldwin.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

From producers J.J. Abrams, Raphaël Benoliel, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Jake Myers, as well as Cruise and McQuarrie, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” will hit theaters July 27.
