'Mobile Homes' Exclusive Trailer: Cannes Selection Stars Imogen Poots As A Mother Desperate To Protect Her Son

How many great films begin with the simple question, “What lengths will a mother go for her child?” It’s a classic story told in film for decades. And later this fall, one of the best recent examples of this type of story hits theaters, in the surprising, moving film “Mobile Homes.”

“Mobile Homes” premiered at last year’s Cannes Film Festival (read our review) and stars Imogen Poots as a mother that goes to great lengths to ensure her child has shelter for the night. The film earned rave reviews coming out of France and is hitting theaters next month. And we are excited and honored to be able to share an exclusive trailer and poster for the film.

As mentioned, Poots stars as a young mother, Ali, that is desperate to provide the best possible life for her 8-year-old son. This means she’ll hustle and do whatever it takes with her no-good boyfriend to achieve that goal, which sometimes means living in dingy motels or squatting in abandoned homes. Her dysfunctional family’s way of life is threatened when the trio meets a mobile home contractor.

Joining Poots in the cast are Callum Turner, who co-starred with the actress in “Green Room” and was also seen in “Assassin’s Creed,” Callum Keith Rennie (“Memento,” “Fifty Shades Freed”), and Frank Oulton as her young son. “Mobile Homes” is written and directed by Vladimir de Fontenay who is probably best known for his 2015 film “Memoria.”

“Mobile Homes” hits select theaters on November 16 and will be available On Demand and Digital HD on January 22.

Here’s the official synopsis:

A young mother drifts from one motel to the next with her intoxicating boyfriend and her 8-year-old son. The makeshift family scrapes by, living one hustle at a time, until the discovery of a mobile home community offers an alternative life.
