More Fall Photos: 'Antichrist,' 'Whip It,' & 'Jennifer's Body'

More photos from the fall film season that MTV has been given a first look at.

First up is this awesome candid photo of Lars Von Trier and a bloody Charlotte Gainsbourg smiling on the set of his film “Antichrist,” which hits U.S. theaters in limited release on Oct 23. We already saw this one at Cannes. It’s twisted as fuck and not successful front-to-back, but still worth seeing just to witness the sheer audacity at work.

Next is a pretty shot of Ellen Page and songwriter turned actor Landon Pigg on the set of Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It” (he’s on the soundtrack too which is coming out via Rhino records on September 29).

Drew Barrymore told EW (yes, the fall preview issue, not online) that she wasn’t laid back on set as a filmmaker. “I don’t understand laid-back — it freaks me out. I hate ‘passive’ and I hate ‘total control freak.’ I am very diligent and I don’t like losing five minutes here and there during shooting by people drinking and coffee and talking.”

“I took everything I’ve learned in filmmaking and put it all into this piggy bank. I finally just took it and smashed it on the floor and started grabbing everything.” The picture arrives in theaters on October 9.

Lastly, there’s this fun shot of Adam Brody on the set of “Jennifer’s Body.” In the teenage horror/black comedy, he plays a Satan-worshiping emo rock-star (sorta looks like members of Panic At the Disco who are on the soundtrack) in a band called Low Shoulder (Soft Shoulder in the original script) who sell their soul to the devil to become, “big.”

Apparently Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox really beat the shit out of each other in one scene. “I had bruises between my legs from her hips,” Seyfried said, describing a fight scene where she had to wrap her legs around Fox’s torso. “It’s unbelievable how much pain I was in.”

“Jennifer’s Body” hits theaters September 18, but will appear at the Toronto Film Festival first, as will “Antichrist” and “Whip It,” also being shown at Toronto before their respective domestic release dates.
