No, we didn’t get accepted as press this year, but maybe next year when they get things in order (like their website that basically breaks every time tickets go on sale), Toronto Int. Film Fest will have their shit in gear. 😉 We’ve already seen “Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” Spike Lee’s “Miracle At St. Anna,” Charlie Kaufman’s “Synecdoche, New York,” Guy Ritchie’s “Rock N Rolla,” “Happy Go Lucky” and we’ll have hopefully seen “Zack And Miri Make a A Porno,” and “Burn After Reading” before we even arrive at TIFF if all goes to plan. Expect reviews in the next few days.
We got everything we wanted, but cause of conflicting scheduling we’ll miss “Good” with Viggo Mortensen, Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker” (we love Anthony Mackie) and Steve McQueen’s lauded, “Hunger,” but otherwise we did rather well we think as we tried to mix it up as much as possible. If anyone does see screenings of those two films and wants to submit reviews, please feel free (or any other films we don’t see).Look us up in Toronto if you like, but as you can see below, we’ll be running around and rather tired. Oh yeah, and if you hear of a good score or soundtrack that we’ve somehow missed, please feel free to pass on the info. Have a good TIFF.
