Yesterday, the big, huge Apple TV announcement was actually a bit of a letdown. Sure, if you’re a fan of Apple products, you probably found enough to keep you interested. (Oooh, can’t wait to get that Apple credit card, huh?) But if you were hoping for a full unveiling of the massive amount of TV original content the tech company has been developing for over a year, then sadly you were probably left wanting more.
Outside of some awkward bits with celebrities standing on stage and talking about how their show is the next best thing ever (sorry, Jason Momoa, your show is not going to revolutionize the medium, no matter how handsome you are), the only bits of footage we saw was the sizzle reel that you can now watch below.
That being said, in terms of sizzle reels, this one surely does crackle like yummy bacon. There’s no context to what we’re seeing, but there are some glimpses at “The Morning Show,” which is probably the crown jewel of the Apple TV+ offerings, with Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell starring as members of a TV morning show crew. There’s also a few peeks at the aforementioned Momoa-starring show. And you can also see quick little bits from other series that the tech company is currently developing.
Of course, the same questions we had yesterday apply today. How much will all this cost? When will these series launch? Are reports of Apple TV severely restricting the type of content it will stream accurate? Sadly, those are questions we won’t get answers to until a later date. But let’s be real, if you’re a member of the Apple ecosystem, you’re probably already all-in anyway, right?
