Update: Two TV spots for the film have arrived, with tiny snippets of new footage. Empire has even more new photos. Check it out at the bottom.
What more can one possibly say about "The Dark Knight Rises"? Its tagline is "the legend ends," and it's definitely Christopher Nolan's final Batman film. Whether or not it can beat "The Avengers" at the box-office is probably the next point of speculation among fans, but it's not in 3D, it's not a big shiny all-star team-up, blah, blah, blah. "The Dark Knight Rises" won't beat "The Dark Knight" at the box-office. Why? Because it doesn't feature what is essentially the last performance from a beloved actor who died too soon. Once we get over that, we can enjoy the picture for what it will hopefully be: something epic and memorable. Hopefully a fitting conclusion to this final chapter.
Starring Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman and many more, "The Dark Knight Rises" is due in theaters July 20th. New photos courtesy of BatmanNews.com are below for the super fanboy to chew on.
