New Details Revealed In Extended Synopsis For 'Logan'

Update: The longer synopsis has been removed and replaced by the former logline at the request of 20th Century Fox.

The Berlin Film Festival premiere of “Logan” is drawing closer, which means we’ll soon know if the R-rated Wolverine movie will live up to the advance buzz generated by the first forty minutes shown to press (read our report). But until the full verdict lands, these new details about the film’s plot will have to keep us satisfied.

The festival has revealed a longer synopsis for the mutant film, which essentially sounds like a character-driven, futuristic chase movie, which sounds just fine to us. Here you go (and I guess, spoiler warning, but I can’t imagine you clicked on this story not to read the synopsis):

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

For all that verbiage, it still sounds like it’s all mostly first act description, and let’s hope the narrative can stick the landing with what sounds like a killer premise.

“Logan” opens on March 3rd. [JoBlo]
