New 'Fantastic Four' Poster Arrives, Miles Teller Says Classic Costumes Will Appear In The Film

Fantastic FourAppealing to fanboys, crafting mainstream entertainment, while trying to do something creatively exciting is a tricky balancing act, and no one knows that more than Josh Trank. As he puts together "Fantastic Four" for release this summer, he’s got a huge weight of expectation on his shoulders, from comic diehards who want to see the characters done right, a major studio who wants to launch a viable franchise, all while satisfying his own need to play with the formula. But don’t worry that things will be too unfamiliar, as Miles Teller aka Mr. Fantastic says the original costumers will pop up.

"These are the beta versions of the costumes, which is great," he told Screen Crush about the version you’ve seen in the trailer. "But, yeah it would be very odd if the Fantastic Four didn’t don the traditional costumes. You’ve got to. There is some servicing there. You’ve got to give that to the fans. That’s what it’s all about."

That said, the costumes — as shown in the new poster below — will feature for most of the movie, with classic versions only appearing briefly, and my guess is near the end of the movie so we know what to expect heading into the sequel. Meanwhile, some kid posing in front of an international poster may have just revealed a first look of The Thing. See below. "Fantastic Four" arrives on August 7th.
