New Images From 'The Hateful Eight' Plus 30-Minute Interviews With Samuel L. Jackson & Jennifer Jason Leigh

The Hateful EightIt’s not long before Quentin Tarantino‘s "The Hateful Eight" arrives, but we may not have had it at all. The director nearly canceled the movie altogether when the script for the movie leaked before shooting was slated to begin. But QT shifted gears, wrote a new draft with a different ending, and has managed to keep everything under lock and key, with the release date now just a couple of weeks away. And according to Tim Roth, the director’s opportunity to tinker with the screenplay some more was a benefit.

"…the script we got after [it leaked] I think is even better," he told Variety. "It’s pretty hard to fill the shoes of the first script and he did and he excelled. [When I first saw the film] there were four of us, the actors and Quentin in a big ole’ cinema, real proper, beautiful, big ole’ screen. The Cary Grant screening room at Sony, I think it was. And we sat and we watched it. We had read it. We rehearsed it. We acted it. We did everything, but still we didn’t know what the film could be, because then Quentin comes into play and goes through the editing process and the sound and the music and all of that. So when we finally circled back around, we’re seeing it with tired but fresh eyes. It’s really quite an extraordinary thing to be part of."

Meanwhile, Samuel L. Jackson and Jennifer Jason Leigh also share their experiences making the movie and much more in these new, extensive 30-minute interviews. And lastly, a batch of new "The Hateful Eight" images have landed to carry you through to the 70mm release on Christmas Day.
