New Look: George Clooney In 'The American,' 'Trash Humpers' Soundtrack To See Ultra-Limited Vinyl Release, U.K. Poster For Joann Sfar' 'Gainsbourg'

Here’s a fuzzy, random new look at Anton Corbijn’s upcoming “The American” starring George Clooney, courtesy of People Magazine. The woman in question? We’re pretty sure that’s the love interest in the film Irina Björklund.

Taking inspiration from the film’s own stylings, the soundtrack to Harmony Korine’s provocative “Trash Humpers” will see a very limited run of vinyl with the “handful of brief song-sketches, lullabies and field recordings” to be released as a “a 7in record packaged in a brown paper bag, decorated with pen drawings of what schoolboys might once have known as a “bus-stop willy”, and featuring one-of-a-kind daubings of fluids that may or may not include ketchup, blood and excrement.”

The feature debut by Palestinian director Annemarie Jacir has been picked up by Lorber Films who will premiere the pic on August 13th at New York’s Quad Cinemas. The story centers on a Brooklyn-born woman of Palestinian lineage who comes to Israel to search for her ancestral home and fulfill her dream to “return” to Palestine.

Michael Madsen will topline indie-zombie pic “Infected,” the story of a father and son who fight to survive a deadly spreading blood virus from Verdi Corrente Prods. Madsen will also star in dramedy “Loosies,” which co-stars Peter Facinelli (“Twilight”). Just biding time and hoping Tarantino casts him again one day?

We always thought the landscape British poster format was pretty cool. Here’s one for the Serge Gainsbourg biopic by comic-book artist Joann Sfar, starring Éris Elmosnino as the iconic Frenchman and the late Lucy Gordon in her last ever performance as Jane Birkin.

Gina Gershon, Danny Glover and Robert Patrick will lead Masun Kirmizigul’s English language debut, “Five Minarets In New York.” Pic will center on the wife of a Turkish scholar who is arrested by federal authorities after being wrongfully accused of a crime. Probably should have kept the production Turkish?

Tom Vaughan (“What Happens In Vegas,” “Starter For 10”) will helm the the dark rom-com “31 Days Of Larry,” following the story of a man who wants to die and a woman in financial crisis who agree to a 31-day marriage so that she can inherit the insurance money when he dies.

Another ’80s television series remake doomed to fail (the “A-Team” didn’t scare these guys off apparently)? “The Fall Guy” is set for the feature film treatment with DreamWorks and producer Walter Parkes working on an adaptation. The popular show starred Lee Majors in the lead role of Colt Seavers who was a Hollywood stuntman by day and a bounty hunter by night. If we keep seeing them, they’ll keep making them.
