While the trailer for Sam Raimi's revisionist fairy tale "Oz: The Great and Powerful" has split most folks down the middle, there's no denying that the director has a huge vision for his yellow brick road and the fabled story, even if that means tossing in some flying baboons.
A handful of new images from the movie have landed, mostly focused on the world Raimi and his team are CGI painting up on the big screen. But we do get one new look at Michelle Williams as Glinda, and she looks appropriately fantastic. Meanwhile, the rest of pics range from golden sunshine to lush greenery, and it looks like we're getting Dainty China Country from L. Frank Baum's book that was excised from the classic movie version that 'Powerful' will be serving as a prequel to. And remember, there won't be any Scarecrow or Tin Man in this version. Will it be different enough? We'll soon see.
Also starring James Franco, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz, "Oz: The Great and Powerful" drops like a tornado on March 8, 2013. [/Film]
