Now a franchise queen, Jennifer Lawrence will undoubtedly be moving on to bigger and better things, and indeed, she already has — the actress shot the period drama "Serena" with director Susanne Bier earlier this year, and will appear in David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" this fall. But she can't walk away from cheapie fare just yet, as the thriller "The House At The End Of The Street" — shot before the whole "The Hunger Games" thing — arrives later this year.
The film finds Lawrence playing the daughter of Elisabeth Shue, who seeks a fresh start after a divorce, and finds the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to take place, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah's wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan — with danger lurking around the corner. LOUD NOISES! So yeah, seems like pretty familiar stuff for a PG-13 movie, but hopefully Lawrence and the rest of the cast can elevate things a little.
Guess we'll see when "House At The End Of The Street" opens on September 21st. Check out a batch of new images from the movie below.
