So, have doubts about Sean Penn's versatility? Next month you'll see him on screen as the damaged, fragile, Robert Smith-esque goth rocker in "This Must Be The Place." Then in January, he'll be snarling and scenery chewing his way through "Gangster Squad."
A few more images and a poster have landed for the first movie, which is finally hitting screens after premiering at Cannes way back in 2011. Those were the days. The film finds Penn playing a cloistered celeb musician who goes on a journey to find the man who haunted his recently deceased father, who was a survivor of the Holocaust. The result is a movie that's part road trip, part comedy, part drama, all wig-tacular. The soundtrack boasts some interesting folks including Wlil Oldham, Iggy Pop, Jonsi and David Byrne, who also makes a cameo in the movie.
"This Must Be The Place" arrives on November 2nd. Guyliner not included.
