As Keira Knightley showed with her stints in a few “Pirates Of The Caribbean” films, she’s not afraid to put on her blockbuster bloomers, it’s just not something we see from the actress very often. Thus, we’re still a bit surprised about her appearing in “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.” Anyway, whether or not her role extends beyond being Chris Pine‘s arm candy, or as the trailers suggest some kind of femme fatale, we’ll just have to wait and see, but for now, here’s some new pics of Knightley in the movie.
As you know, ‘Shadow Recruit’ (which could also be the subtitle of a “G.I. Joe” movie) is a reboot of the beloved Tom Clancy character into a seemingly more James Bond/Jason Bourne-esque type ass-kicker. The enemy this time? The Russians who plan to do something evil, evidenced by director Kenneth Branagh’s outrageously thick accen,t which might be the biggest special effect of all (though credit to him for directing at the same time, too). And as for that new poster, it’s neither a “shadow” or “recruit”: discuss.
