New Poster For 'This Must Be The Place' Reminds Us Why We Still Want To See This Movie

Granted, the reviews out of Cannes for “This Must Be The Place” were not good — our man in the field James Rocchi called it “rambling and ragged” — but other reviews were far less kind and overall word was that it was a disappointment if not a complete misfire. But regardless, it does have Sean Penn channeling Robert Smith and we’ll watch that any day of week.

Directed by Paolo Sorrentino (”Il Divo”), the film centers on Penn’s character, an aging rock star, who becomes obsessed in tracking down the Nazi criminal who tortured his father. Frances McDormand, Harry Dean Stanton, Kerry Condon, Judd Hirsch and Bono’s daughter, Eve Hewson, all co-star, but judging from this French poster for the film, the main attraction is still Penn’s amazing mane of hair and ravaged, lipsticked face.

The film hasn’t yet been picked up for U.S. distribution, but if you live in France you can check it out on August 24th. Full poster below. [RecentMoviePosters]
