There's going to be two different kinds of heroism hitting the big screen in the coming weeks. In "The Dark Knight Rises" we'll see a billionaire by day, superhero by night, broken mentally and physically, trying to restore order to Gotham that has been overrun by Bane and his cronies. Meanwhile, in "The Expendables 2," we'll see a bunch of really old guys — some of whom should be retired — defy age and science by running around a foreign country and blowing shit up. 60 is the new 30. Or something.
Anyway, a new poster centered on the villain, Jean Claude Van Damme, and a batch of images have hit the interwebs for your eyeballs. Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are some of the other old timers putting in their dentures for another action outing, while Jason Statham, Jet Li, Yu Nan, Terry Crews, Randy Couture and Liam Hemsworth will try not to be slowed down by their colleagues as they shuffle around and try to run.
The film will be making a presence at Comic-Con tomorrow with a Hall H presentation where we're sure more footage will be unveiled, with Stallone, Lundgren, Van Damme and Schwarzenegger set to flex their pecs and flash their smiles for the crowd.
