'The Night House' Trailer: Rebecca Hall Discovers Dark Secrets About Her Dead Husband's Past In New Sundance Horror

Good films occasionally get lost in the shuffle at film festivals, and that’s perhaps may have happened to “The Night House” starring Rebecca Hall. The film premiered at Sundance 2020 to good notices and reviews (including ours), but then seemingly was forgotten for a bit. And or, Searchlight Pictures has just been biding their time, waiting for the right moment to release and market the film. That time is now, and the first trailer for “The Night House” has arrived.

Directed by David Bruckner (“The Ritual“), “The Night House” centers on a widow (Hall) who begins to uncover her recently deceased husband’s disturbing secrets. The film also stars Sarah Goldberg from “Barry,” Vondie Curtis Hall (“Eve’s Bayou“), Evan Jonigkeit (“Togetherish“), and “Nymphomaniac” star Stacy Martin.

Searchlight Pictures releases “The Night House” on July 16 August 20. This one looks nice and creepy, so maybe Searchlight thinks they have a nice alternative summer programmer on their hands. Watch the first trailer below.
