As you likely already know, Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" is one of our most highly anticipated movies of the fall. For one, its cast, which includes Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell to name just a few, rules. Secondly, it's directed and written by McDonagh, the Irish filmmaker behind "In Bruges" and the famed playwright behind such wickedly delicious pitch-black plays as "The Lieutenant of Inishmore," "The Pillowman" and "The Cripple of Inishmaan."
This red band trailer is pretty damn hilarious, and also features appearances by supporting actors Gabourey Sidibe ("Precious") and Kevin Corrigan. Here's the official synopsis: Written and Directed by Oscar®-winner Martin McDonagh , the comedy Seven Psychopaths follows a struggling screenwriter (Colin Farrell) who inadvertently becomesentangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell) kidnap a gangster’s (Woody Harrelson) beloved Shih Tzu. Co-starring Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko and Zeljko Ivanek.
"Seven Psychopaths" will be in theaters October 12th from CBS Films. The film will debut first at the Toronto International Film Festival in about a week. It's stuck on an annoying auto-play for now, sorry, but it'll get switched out when a regular embed is available. [Via The Film Stage]
