No Foolin', Aged Rolling Stones Release Shine A Light Soundtrack For April 1

You’ve probably heard of this little Rolling Stones live concert documentary directed by Marty Scorsese, “Shine A Light.”

We mentioned the long-list of songs the Stones played during their two-night 2006 Beacon Theater New York shows that were under consideration for use on the soundtrack and now the Shine A Light Original Soundtrack deets have been unveiled (along with the artwork; amusingly enough the TBD soundtrack listing was not very disimilar to the final one). The soundtrack disc, due April 1, comes in two formats – a single disc edition and a double-disc deluxe version.

The tracklists are virtually the same, the most notable exception is the single-disc version does feature Christina Aguilera on “Live With Me.” The White Stripes Jack White and Buddy Guy’s appearance is also featured on the single-disc edition.

“Shine A Light” the film, is due in theaters April 4th. One of the more notable cinematographers on the film, Ellen Kuras was personally hand-picked by Bob Dylan himself to shoot his “No Direction Home” interviews for the film. “There Will Be Blood” Oscar-winning photographer Robert Eslwit was also one of the shooters.

One of the Playlist’s peripheral members needs to hand in their overdue review (hint, fucking hint).
