Update: E! reports that Julie Andrews has now also joined the film, classing up the proceedings considerably. Also, Marc Malkin looks frighteningly like Steve Zahn.
Want to be in Garry Marshall‘s “New Year’s Eve“? It appears all you have to do is just be near the catering table or even on the same block as where the movie is shooting and you have a pretty good chance of getting a role.
Variety reports that famed thespian Alyssa Milano has joined the (mostly) staggeringly third-rate cast for Marshall’s second swing at the holiday themed rom-com following the egregious “Valentine’s Day.” In case you missed it, the film will revolve around a variety of romantic interludes on the end of year holiday and will star Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Sienna Miller, Sofia Vergara, Seth Meyers, Til Schweiger, Josh Duhamel, Ice Cube and Ryan Seacrest.
No word yet on who the “Charmed” actress will play, but does it even matter at this point? “New Year’s Eve” hits on December 9th.
