Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa To Make You Feel Inadequate On The Big Screen In 'Horrible Bosses'

Ever since the first ad premiered on Superbowl day, the brilliant commercials for Old Spice, starring NFL wide receiver-turned-actor Isaiah Mustafa, have become huge; the YouTube channel for the campaign has been viewed nearly 60 million times. Furthermore, the excellently written and performed spots have an almost unique effect on the better halves of male Playlisters; a glazed over look, a sigh, a disappointed look back to us, another sigh…

Mustafa has picked up a huge amount of interest as a result of the ads, signing a talent agreement with NBC and landing a role in Tyler Perry’s adaptation of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf,” but in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor also revealed that he’s joined the excellent cast of “Horrible Bosses.”

He tells them “It’s a smaller role, but who wouldn’t want to be in one of these funny, irreverent comedies? The cast is great. I’m playing a cop because I play these authoritative characters well.” Our guess from the script is that Mustafa would play either Detective Samson or Detective Hagan, two ‘burly’ cops who are investigating… well, that would give away too much. Mustafa joins Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Julie Bowen and Jamie Foxx in one of the comedies we’re looking forward to most next year. In the meantime, for those of you just awakening from a six-month coma, you can see him in action below.
