Oscar Isaac Joins Viggo Mortensen In 'The Two Faces Of January'

oscar-isaac-Bet you forgot all about this one. Don't worry, so did we. First announced just over a year ago, "The Two Faces Of January" has some very strong talent behind it. First off, it's got a script by "Drive" writer Hossein Amini, and second Viggo Mortensen — who is pickier than a five-year-old at a salad bar — signed on to star. And then? Nothing. Financing was needed. But it looks like things are starting to happen, as casting is gearing up again with a start date now in sight.

Variety reports that the usually awesome Oscar Isaac ("Drive," "Inside Llewyn Davis," "The Bourne Legacy") will be joining the picture. Based on promising source material, the book by famed novelist Patricia Highsmith ("The Talented Mr. Ripley"), "the story follows a con artist, his wife and a stranger who try to flee a foreign country after one of them is caught up in the murder of a police officer." Yep, that sounds pretty alright to us.

Amini is making his directorial debut on the picture, which will go in front of cameras before the end of year. Don't worry, "Eastern Promises 2" is still happening and will shoot early in 2013, which makes this the busiest clip Viggo has worked at in a while. But more of him on the big screen is just fine by us.
