To say there is bad blood between Israel and Palestine is a gross understatement. For decades, the two sides have been battling each other with seemingly no end in sight. But in the upcoming HBO film, “Oslo,” we see how secret behind-the-scenes meetings led to the first real peace talks between the two sides.

As seen in the trailer for “Oslo,” the film tells the story of the secret meetings that happened in Norway between a group of Israelis and Palestinians that led to the creation of the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords. For those that don’t seem to understand the full extent of the bitter relationship between the two sides, the film seems to help try to sum up the feelings and explain why these two groups of people have been at odds for so long.
The cast for “Oslo” includes Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Salim Daw, Waleed Zuaiter, Jeff Wilbusch, Igal Naor, Dov Glickman, Rotem Keinan, Itzik Cohen, Tobias Zilliacus, and Tobias Zilliacus. The film is based on the Tony Award-winning play of the same name, with writer J.T. Rogers returning to adapt his own play into a film. “Oslo” is directed by Bartlett Sher.
