‘Ozark” has been a big hit for Netflix but all good things come to an end as the fourth and final season of the crime thriller was split into two parts. Sort of a gritty family version of “Breaking Bad” the show gathered quite a large following thanks to Netflix’s massive global subscriber base that supported it over the years. We now know when the last chunk of seven episodes will be released into the wild.
Today, the streaming giant has announced that the second half of the episodes will drop in late April and, hopefully, will tie up any loose ends and stick the landing. Many beloved adult-focused television shows have a history of polarizing endings, I guess we’ll have to see how audiences react to the finale in the spring and if showrunner Chris Mundy was able to satisfy fans.
The show’s stellar cast for the second half of the final season consists of Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, Jessica Frances Dukes, Lisa Emery, Felix Solis, Damian Young, Alfonso Herrera, Adam Rothenberg, John Bedford Lloyd, Joseph Sikora, Bruno Bichir, Katrina Lenk, CC Castillo, and Ali Stroker.
Here’s the synopsis:
Marty and Wendy are rid of Helen and climb to the top of Navarro’s empire. They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks but some past sins won’t stay buried and the most dangerous threats come from blood.
Its producing team includes Mundy, Bateman, Linney, Mark Williams, John Shiban, Patrick Markey, and Bill Dubuque.
