When is a painting series not about learning how to paint? Well, it’s when you have John Lurie running the show, as we see in the new trailer for “Painting with John” Season 2.
So, if “Painting with John” isn’t a show that will teach you how to paint, then what is it? Well, in our review of Season 1, Rodrigo Perez sums it up perfectly and said the show presents “absolutely compelling, deep, sometimes ridiculous, sometimes sad, but always absorbing storytelling about his difficult existence and life general.” Basically, it’s writer-director-musician-artist John Lurie inviting you into his world and letting you live a moment in his existence, over the course of a number of episodes.
“Painting with John” Season 2 debuts on HBO on February 18. You can watch the new trailer below.
