It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from writer/director/actor Mark Webber (“Scott Pilgrim vs the World,” “Green Room,” “Laggies“), but his new directorial effort “The Place Of No Words” is almost here. Premiering in 2019 at the Tribeca Film Festival, Webber wrote the story an exploration of how we cope with death, and how we explain it to young children. It’s a fantasy and meta-fiction film too which co-stars his wife, Teresa Palmer (“Warm Bodies,” “Lights Out,” “Hacksaw Ridge“), and his family. They play spouses in the film and their real son, Bodhi Palmer, plays their child in the film too.
“The Place Of No Words” switches between reality and a fantasy realm, using mythical creatures and magical circumstances as an allegory for talking about difficult issues with a small child. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Where do we go when we die?” A question by three-year-old Bodhi Palmer sets a real family on an imaginative adventure that explores how we cope with dying and the love, laughter, and pain we can find within it. Bodhi gives a rare tour de force performance while starring alongside his actual mother and father (Mark Webber and Teresa Palmer). Told through both the eyes of a father and his young son the story moves between the authentic real world and a fantasy realm filled with mythical creatures and circumstances.
