Poster For 'Ruby Sparks' Design Contest Where You Can Win A Limited Print Run Of Your Artwork

nullWhat if you could create the perfect partner? What would happen if you accidentally did? That's the starting point for "Little Miss Sunshine" directors Jonathan Dayton and Varlie Faris' "Ruby Sparks," an utterly unique and charming look at the first blush of head-over-heels love, and the more tricky territory that comes when the honeymoon section of the relationship is over.

The film was penned by Zoe Kazan, who co-stars with her real life beau Paul Dano, and tells the story of Calvin, a successful author who is struggling to find inspiration and write his second novel. An exercise prompted by his therapist soon finds him writing about Ruby Sparks, his perfect woman, when one day, she just appears in his kitchen eating a bowl of cereal. What follows is a delightful blend of fantasy, romance, comedy and drama as Calvin navigates this new life, learning more about love and what it means to be with somebody than he ever knew before. In short, after we saw "Ruby Sparks" at the L.A. Film Festival we said it was, "a delightful romantic comedy that tugs at the heartstrings and rings of an instant classic."

Now it's time for you to create something. Fox Searchlight has put together a pretty clever contest with a great prize at the end. Head over to the Make Ruby Real Tumblr page. There you can download various assets (with more at the official site) which you can use to create your own poster for "Ruby Sparks" and share it for all to see, and if your one sheet is in the top five with the most Tumblr notes, you'll win a limited print run of your poster as well as the chance to see it displayed at your local theater.

You can also check out the pretty nifty interactive site for the film as well, and here's a hint — try typing out these words: Ruby, love, dance, ocean, LA, fetch, trailer, glow, therapy, water, hamburger, glow… You'll see what happens.

"Ruby Sparks" opens on July 25th.
