Summer is all about hitting the road, but if you can’t make it out over the next couple of months, David Gordon Green has the next best thing, cinematically speaking. His low-key indie flick “Prince Avalanche” is on the way, and a new poster and some fresh pics have arrived.
Starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch, the movie is a remake of the Icelandic film “Either Way,” with Rudd and Hirsch starring as two city workers spending their summer months working together on the roadways of a county highway ravaged by wildfire. And it’s a movie that will sneak up on you as our review out of Sundance suggests, saying it captures the “sadness in beauty, the loveliness in destruction, the comical in the unpredictable moment, often to seriously funny and thoughtful effect.”
Sounds like a good break for your ears and eyes from the madness at the multiplex this time of year. Check out the pics and one-sheet courtesy of EW below.
