Production Starts On 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' 'Fish Tank' Star Katie Jarvis Rumored For Role

Fish Tank

Guys, it’s official—production has started today on “Star Wars: Episode 7,” but don’t you think for a second that the rumors are going to stop. And that’s because there’s still more casting to come, and today brings with it not only rumors of who those actresses might be, but also the plot in general. So, spoilers ahead folks.

Latino Review is reporting that the driving thrust of “Star Wars: Episode 7,” will find the new group of younger characters united into action after Han Solo is killed. That’s right, everyone’s fave, so the rumor goes, will meet his demise. On one hand, it makes sense given that Harrison Ford has long been clear that he doesn’t really care for the character, and actually wanted him to die in the original trilogy (that obviously didn’t happen). So perhaps this was the bait that got the actor back to the franchise one last time. But on the other, will Disney really let one of the series’ most beloved characters meet his demise?

Meanwhile, the site also reports that “Fish Tank” star Katie Jarvis and little known Maisie Richardson-Sellers are up for roles, possibly. Certainly nothing is firmed up (and Jarvis would be truly surprising since she’s hasn’t appeared in anything since Andrea Arnold’s 2009 film), but perhaps one to keep on your radar.

So lots to think about, and if you had any doubt this was really happening, see below.
